Daylesford

Daylesford - Surrounded by attractive hill and lake scenery, this holiday/health resort town is known as the "Spa Capital of Australia" The town attracts many visitors to its mineral springs. The water flows underground through volcanic fault lines until it bubbles to the surface. Carbon Dioxide giving the water a natural effervescence. Gold, Rubies and Sapphires have been found in the area. An attraction for the visitor is to visit the Daylesford Spa Country Railway. A Railway Museum.
Trentham - Lying deep within the forest, as timber milling is its founding past and still has a mill. Today, the old shops have been restored and now offering arts, crafts and eateries. Trentham falls are particularly impressive, especially after a heavy rainfall. The Coliban River plunges 32m over a sheer basalt cliff edge.
Hepburn Spring- This old health resort town on the Great Dividing Range is famous for its minerial springs. Visitors can sample the water, picnic, walk or bath in the heated waters of the spa's. Hepburn Springs Bathhouse has been restored to its Victorian Era splendor and offer the visitor a range of spa treatments.
Macedon Ranges
A place where you can eat and drink high quality local produce a big attraction for many visitors. Although some visitors would argue it is the regions boutique cellar doors within the regions wineries. Others would think the impeccable world class gardens that are open to the public. Then there is fresh farm gate produce, historic buildings and all manner of specialist art galleries.

Kyneton - Set on the Campaspe River the town is known for its handsome buildings of local bluestone. Also Its 8-ha botanical garden is said to be one of the finest outside of Melbourne. Kyneton is a agricultural and stock grazing town. This date back to 1850's where Kyneton was a stop and provisioning town for those on the way to the goldfields.
Macedon and Mount Macedon - The view from the top of Mount Macedon inspired Arthur Streeton's famous landscape "Australia Felix"; the Mount Macedon township sits on the lower slopes of the mountain. The Magnificent deciduous trees planting of the Mount Macedon Region provide a glorious display in Autumn.
Attractions
Experiences that are must see for the visitors are; the reinvigorating mineral waters of Hepburn. Or Mt Diogenes or as is commonly known Hanging Rock. Nature has provided this exceptional volcanic formation and its reserve, that eluded a mystery and intrigue. The reserve also hosts an array of flora and fauna.
