Streets Beach, South Bank – Brisbane Attraction

Streets Beach is one of Brisbane’s most iconic attractions and a must-visit when exploring the 17-hectare South Bank Parklands. As Australia’s only inner-city, man-made beach, it features a crystal-clear blue lagoon, soft white sand and lush sub-tropical landscaping, creating a relaxing oasis in the heart of Brisbane City.

Perfect for families, couples and solo travellers, Streets Beach offers a safe and scenic place to swim, relax or cool off on a warm Queensland day. Located beside the lagoon are two additional aquatic attractions: the Boat Pool, ideal for younger swimmers, and Aquativity, an interactive water-play park designed especially for children.

The Beach is free to enjoy and is patrolled year-round by qualified lifeguards. Patrol hours vary seasonally, so visitors are advised to check with the South Bank Visitor Centre for current lifeguard times before swimming.
