As we are dealing with a nomadic creature in its natural environment, we cannot suggest when would be the best time to join us as each year can be different. Please use this to help you decide on the best time to come. We provide this information to be open and honest with all our guests to help you make an informed decision.
There is absolutely no diver qualification required. The reason for this is because our adventure is ‘Surface Diving’ where you won’t be any more that 2-4 feet beneath the surface. Therefore no concern is needed for decompression or altitude issues. Diving in our surface shark cage is very easy and a full briefing is given before diving, and practice on the surface is available if required. Our crews are experienced divers and veterans of the cage. They are more than willing to help young, old and less confident divers in the cage.
It depends on the shark activity on the day. We are dealing with sharks in their natural environment, they are free to come and go as they please. Our crew strive ensure all groups get a similar experience in the cage, based on shark interaction so the actual time does very between the groups. Please remember that the day isn’t just about being in the cage as there is also ample viewing opportunity from on board the vessel while waiting for your turn to dive.
