Melaleuca Surfside Backpackers is an architecturally designed, owner operated backpacker retreat.  Located five minutes walk from the sparkling waters of One Mile Beach in Port Stephens, New South Wales.
The boutique style accommodation has been created using wood and glass to maximise light, space and harmony with nature. With views to the stars, stay in a cabin or camp out in bush land with the local wildlife. They are a Land for Wildlife property, no domestic pets allowed.
A tranquil retreat in a natural bush setting with accommodation ranging from cabins (one to five share), dormitory rooms (four or six share), and “car free” camping to shaded Kombi van sites. Tent hire available over the Summer months.
Available for all guests, the magnificent main building houses double kitchens with all crockery and cutlery, a lounge area with free Wifi, television and DVD. Decked areas surround with tables, chairs and free barbecues. A laundry is available for guests.
If you’re looking for some fun, try one of the many local tours, or hire a snorkel or surf board and explore the local area.
