Castle Hill is a giant pink granite monolith rising prominently from the centre of Townsville, Queensland, and is one of the city’s most recognisable natural attractions. It also holds significant historical importance. A World War II observation bunker remains on one corner of the hill, serving as a reminder of Townsville’s strategic military role during the war.
