Australian National Surfing Museum Great Ocean Road Tourist Attraction

The Australian National surfing Museum opened its doors in December 1993 in Torquay Victoria.

Australia’s first dedicated surfing history museum was soon recognized by the International Surfing Association as “A place of surfing significance”.

The Australian National Surfing Museum is located 103 kilometres west of Melbourne, approximately a one-hour twenty minute drive.

It charts Australia’s significant contribution to the development of surfing around the world.

Through the colourful and exciting permanent displays of an extraordinary collection of surfcraft, important surfing artefacts and memorabilia, the museum commemorates Australia’s fantastic surfing heritage.
