The seasons and climate in Australia in each state vary considerable. When travelling the Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring are completely different in temperature and humidity levels, very much different to other countries seasons.

Seasons and Climate in Victoria

Victoria’s climate varies across the state, with the weather in the north much drier and warmer than the south. The state’s Climate is warm to hot in summer (December to February). Mild in autumn (March to May), crisp in winter (June to August) and cool in spring (September to November).

Seasons and Climate in Tasmania

Tasmania’s climate varies across the state, with the weather in the north can be much different than the south. The states climate is at its driest and can be warm to hot in summer (December to February). Mild, calm and sunny in autumn (March to May). Cold as the southerly winds from the Antarctic effects temperatures in winter (June to August). Spring is cool and the states wettest time of year (September to November).

Seasons and Climate in Western Australia

Western Australia climate varies across the state. With the weather in the South West Coast is cooler. The temperate on the North West Coast is tropical and a wet season. The Summer months experience the highest rainfall. And can also be accompanied by thunderstorms and the occasional tropical cyclone in northern tropical regions (December to February). Autumn in the North Coast is the time to cool off and recover from the hot wet season. The difference between autumn and summer is slight. In the north, but the cooler temperatures are more noticeable in the southern parts of Western Australia (March to May). The winter months is generally regarded as the most pleasant in every sense of the word. Low rainfall, comfortable temperatures during the day, and cool nights. The days are sunny, and even though this is the coldest time of the year. It remains hotter than many places around the world in summer (June to August). And the spring months are very similar to the autumn months. Locals start preparing themselves for the ensuing rainy season as each day becomes steadily hotter and hotter. (September to November)

Northern Territory climate varies across the this vast territory. With the climate in the Red Centre is different to the tropical north. The Red Centre, which includes destinations like Alice…Springs, Tennant Creek, the Barkly Tablelands and Uluru/Kata-Tjuta, has a semi-arid climate. In summer (December to February), climate range between mild to very hot. In winter (June to August), the climate range is cold to mild . Spring and autumn in Central Australia see warm days and cool evenings. The Top End, destination which includes Darwin, Katherine, Kakadu and Arnhem Land, has a tropical climate. And has two distinct seasons, the Wet and the Dry. The Wet season spans from November until April and is characterised by increased humidity followed by monsoonal rains and storms. The Dry season, from May until October, is characterised by warm, dry sunny days and cool nights

South Australia’s climate varies across the state, with the weather in the north much drier and warmer than the south. The state’s climate is very hot in summer (December to February). Mild to warm in autumn (March to May). Cool in winter when the state gets the most rain. It gets colder in the Adelaide Hills and the Outback (June to August). And cool and sunny in spring (September to November).

But the cooler temperatures are more noticeable in the southern parts of Queensland (March to May). The winter months is generally regarded as the most pleasant in every sense of the word. Low rainfall, comfortable temperatures during the day, and cool nights. The days are sunny, and even though this is the coldest time of the year. Seasons and Climate in New South Wales

New South Wales climate varies across the state seasons. With the weather in the north much drier and hotter than the coast. The state climate is warm to hot in summer. And average humidity spikes (December to February). Autumn is the mildest time of year, when the humidity drops and average temperatures fall (March to May). Rainfall is generally highest in June, while July is the coolest month in winter (June to August) and Spring days are warmer but the humidity is not high (September to November)
