The seasons and climate in Australia in each state vary considerable. When travelling the Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring are completely different in temperature and humidity levels, very much different to other countries seasons.

Seasons and Climate in Victoria

Victoria’s climate varies across the state, with the weather in the north much drier and warmer than the south. The state’s Climate is warm to hot in summer (December to February). Mild in autumn (March to May), crisp in winter (June to August) and cool in spring (September to November).

Seasons and Climate in Tasmania

Tasmania’s climate varies across the state, with the weather in the north can be much different than the south. The states climate is at its driest and can be warm to hot in summer (December to February). Mild, calm and sunny in autumn (March to May). Cold as the southerly winds from the Antarctic effects temperatures in winter (June to August). Spring is cool and the states wettest time of year (September to November).

Seasons and Climate in Western Australia

Western Australia climate varies across the state. With the weather in the South West Coast is cooler. The temperate on the North West Coast is tropical and a wet season. The Summer months experience the highest rainfall. And can also be accompanied by thunderstorms and the occasional tropical cyclone in northern tropical regions (December to February). Autumn in the North Coast is the time to cool off and recover from the hot wet season. The difference between autumn and summer is slight. In the north, but the cooler temperatures are more noticeable in the southern parts of Western Australia (March to May). And has two distinct seasons, the Wet and the Dry. The Wet season spans from November until April and is characterised by increased humidity followed by monsoonal rains and storms. The Dry season, from May until October, is characterised by warm, dry sunny days and cool nights

New South Wales climate varies across the state seasons. With the weather in the north much drier and hotter than the coast. The state climate is warm to hot in summer. And average humidity spikes (December to February). Autumn is the mildest time of year, when the humidity drops and average temperatures fall (March to May). Rainfall is generally highest in June, while July is the coolest month in winter (June to August) and Spring days are warmer but the humidity is not high (September to November)
