Mirima National Park North West WA Tourist Attraction

Mirima National Park or is located just minutes from Kununurra. Also known as Hidden Valley

Mirima is a small park with sandstone ranges, cliffs and valleys, similar in appearance to parts of the Bungle Bungle.

The 350 million year old sandstone features within Mirima are subject to some striking colour changes due to sunlight variances.

There are 4 walking trails:

2.2km return Gerliwany-gerring Banan Trail.

800m return Derdbe-gerring Banan Trail climbs to points overlooking Kununurra and intricate rock formations.

400m Looking at Plants Trail is a loop that includes a wheelchair friendly boardwalk.

500m return Demboong Banan Trail leads through a gap in the sandstone range to a lookout over Kununurra.

Mirima is the name given to the area by the local Miriuwung people. This area was declared a National Park in 1982 to conserve the natural features and the associated Miriuwung sites.
