Blacken Open Air
July 29 @ 8:00 am – August 1 @ 5:00 pm
BLACKEN OPEN AIR is one of the world’s most remote heavy metal festivals.
BLACKEN takes place in the Dead Centre of Australia and inspires an annual pilgrimage into the heart of the county.
Now in it’s eighth year, BLACKEN OPEN AIR has established itself as one of the most revered heavy music events in the country.
Over thirty bands from across the nation are set to descend upon Central Australia for a weekend of music, camping and celebration.
The festival site is stunning: The Ross River Resort at the mouth of the ancient N’Dhala Gorge. A secluded valley hidden in the magnificent Eastern MacDonnell Ranges, 85km East of Alice Springs.
Gates open Friday evening for the pre-party. The Festivals Main Stage runs late on Saturday and Sunday.
The festival is family friendly with a kid’s area and activities
